A walk along the Erie's Newburgh branch
210 pages, 6x9 softcover  $19.00
Situated on the west shore of the Hudson River, the city of Newburgh was once linked by the Erie Railroad to seven other towns and the Erie's own mainline.  Only the five miles from Newburgh to Vails Gate survive today of this once bustling branchline.  "A walk along the Erie's Newburgh branch" looks at this nineteen-mile branchline with emphisis on the fourteen miles that were abandoned by Conrail in 1983-84
available at Barnes and Noble.com

"Look towards a brighter shore" 104 pages, softcover 5x8
$18.00
Description: A mix of both real and fictional New York state and railroad history
 The time is the 1830's

The generation that risked everything to give America her independence is fast passing away. But the nation they leave behind will be a beacon for waves of immigrants looking for a better life in a new land. The sweat of their labors will seal this young nation's place in history with engineering and mechanical heights not seen since the glory of ancient Rome. Among these immigrants are two from Ireland: Thirty-five year old Agnes Gale and her twelve-year old son, Thomas. Having already lost a fisherman husband and oldest son to the sea, Agnes makes a vow that her last surviving child will not share the same fate. The sea that is not finished with the Gale family will put young Thomas  amid a cast of characters, machines and events grander than the grandest Irish tale can create.
